Hello Dr. Aberg,
We have a close family's friend , resides in Vietnam, who tested HIV positive. We have two questions: 1)are there any anti retroviral drugs currently available in Vietnam to treat HIV infected patients, 2)If not available in Vietnam, can we get the drug from here and send that to Vietnam? Thank you so much for your time and attention. We patiently wait for your answer.
Response from Dr. Aberg
There is a web site describing HIV and available treatments. If you click on Vietnam Program you will see a section labeled project contacts which includes a list of physicians. I would try this first. Sending drugs without appropriate monitoring for side effects may be harmful and I would not recommend this. available treatements
