Response from Dr. Reznik
The answer to your question is hopefully straight-forward: stress can lead to dry mouth and oral ulcers. Dry mouth, combined with stress can lead to periodontal (gum) problems and dental caries. Smoking, dry mouth and caffeine can lead to coated tongue. All of the aforementioned conditions occur in the general public regardless of HIV status. DR |
