Helo Doc. please answer this question. your opinion is very important to me:
What are the oral manifestations that an hiv person develops during ars and how long do they last?
Do they persist after all of the other symptoms have disappeared?
Thank you so much.

"What are the oral manifestations that an HIV person develops during ARS (acute retroviral syndrome) and how long do they last?"
As concluded in the National Institutes of Health sponsored "Dental Management of Patients Who are HIV Positive" an evidence based research effort, there are not any oral signs and symptoms which present with regular and significant frequency in association with acute retroviral syndrome. Where it is possible to see certain oral manifestations, such as candidiasis or aphthous ulcerations, during ARS, they are not seen with enough frequency to be included as a part of this syndrome.
