Response from Dr. Reznik
There have been documented cases of transmission of HIV via oral intercourse. Kissing is a safe activity and is not considered a risk for transmission of HIV. For further information on the risk of HIV transmission via oral intercourse, please access the following articles which are located in the HIVdent Internet project Oral Transmission of HIV: A review of the Evidence http://www.hivdent.org/_private/Oralman.html "HIV Transmission by Oral Sex" http://www.hivdent.org/oralm/oralmhtbos022000.htm Take care, DR |
