Symptoms timing
Feb 8, 2000

After ARS when do oral symptoms (thrush, mouth ulcers, etc.)typically begin to show up?

Response from Dr. Reznik

There is documented evidence that thrush (oropharyngeal candidiasis) and aphthous ulcers can occur during ARS. There appears to be a correlation between viral burden and the presence of these manifestations. After ARS, when and if these manifestations appear depends on numerous factors such as viral burden, CD4 count, medical history, etc.

Take care!

DR
