Thrush Dec 21, 1999 Hi, I have a question. Can oral thrush be located so far down your throat that it is not visible? Or is it only in the front part of yor mouth? |

 The answer to your question is yes, thrush or candidiasis can be present in your esophagus without appearing in your mouth. There were several cases published by Dr. Mel Wilcox who noted examples of esophageal candidiasis without any oral signs or symptoms. The only way to gain an accurate diagnosis of this condition is via endoscopy. Take care, DR |
