Anti inflammatory
Dec 29, 2013

Is there any contraindications taking ibuprofen while taking Atripla (2yrs) undetectable VL recently on statin aspirin and clopidogrel

Response from Dr. Henry

Generally it is OK to take ibuprofen at reasonable dosess (ie no more than 400-600 mg three times a day) with Atripla and your other medications though the potential exists for worsening of kidney problems, stomach irritation, and sometimes increased risk for bleeding so would make sure you discuss with your HIV or primary care provider so that he/she can monitor properly and make specific recommendations knowing your clinical situation.
