Dear Nelson, thanks for being a source of constant inspiration. My questions is about alpha lipoic acid. I have seen your video on supplementation and you do not mention it. Should I take it? How much? I am currently on kivexa, Prezista and Norvir,I keep undetectable and my cd4 T cells count is above 500. I take super nutrition men's blend, omega 3, coenzyme Q10 and L-carnitine.
Response from Mr. Vergel
Thanks for your kind words. I try!
Alpha lipoic acid has shown some promising results when used to improve neuropathy related pain in diabetes. It improved glucose tolerance and may be a good appetite suppressant. It has not been studied in HIV, however.
Here is more information on this supplement from a great website:
By the way, I take the same supplement regimen as you plus Vitamin D (2000 IU per day) and zinc/copper (30/3 mg/day)
