Took test... What else could cause my low T?
Jan 16, 2013

Mr. Nelson

Hello sir. So I took an HIV test after 3 years of being afraid. It came back Negative. I took two to make sure. Both were Negative. So, I am stuck wondering what else could be causing my Low Testosterone? I wrote you before, I have large gyno and lower butt hip fat and belly fat. I have 160 ng of T and my estrogen is 74. I just would like to know why? Please sir nelson. Thanks my friends.

Response from Mr. Vergel

Testosterone can be lower than normal for someone's age because of many reasons:

1- Illness (HIV, diabetes, cancer, MS, etc)

2- Medications (Ketoconazole, corticoid steroids, opiates, cimetidine, anabolic steroids, anti-adrogen therapy for prostate cancer, etc)

3- Liver metabolism issues that can convert testosterone into estradiol into a higher than normal rate.

4- Lab error

5- Certain environmental toxins and compounds that one may be exposed to in creams, plastic products, insecticides, etc 6- Age (although this is a normal process, but can be accelerated in some men) 7- Genetic mutations 8- Other

Your total testosterone is very low and your estradiol higher than it should correspond to that testosterone level. Have a doctor do a physical exam and a hormone/metabolic work up to determine what kind of testosterone deficiency you have. There are several effective products to treat hypogonadism.

There are some natural ways to increase testosterone but I doubt that with a low number like yours any of these would bring you up to the top 50 percent of the "normal" range.

How to Increase Testosterone Naturally

I hope this helps
