hello Dr nelson please i'm sorry for been rude on this question but it worried me a lot. my question are what causes my belly to look big?upon my daily diet and exercise.2,can testosterone play the impact on it or should i go for testosterone test.on meds sustiva and truvada cd4 545 vl <40 .i really want to know even my sholder and my breast look big without workout.

An enlarged belly could be caused by:

1- Eating too much (obvious)

2- Not exercising enough to burn the extra calories consumed

3- Low thyroid and low testosterone blood levels

4- Improvement in immune function and CD4 cells

5- Metabolic problems caused by certain medications (high fasting LDL, triglycerides and glucose)

6- Liver problems
