Is it possible for MRSA to never completely be cured from your system? I keep have re-occuring MRSA and I have sanatized everything even wash with Hibiclens a few times a month..could it be in my blood?
Response from Dr. Henry
MSRA can colonize the gut area and nose (and somem objects in the environment) so superficial cleaning of skin may not eradicate reservoirs. Can be very challenging to totally clear MRSA but sometimes need to take additional steps such as local antibiotics in nose and monitoring MSRA in various areas of the body. KH
