SWITCH IMITICITABINE TO LAMUVIDINE Sep 15, 2010 Hie I got a response to say I could take Efivarenz, Imtricitabine and Lamuvidine. I was on Truvada and Efivarenz. How much Lamuvidine should i take. What are chances of side effects. I never experience any side effects with the other regime which I strted 6 years ago. Thank you hadley |

 You should not take lamuvidine and emtricitabine together. They are basically almost identical drugs with a few changes in their molecules. Either one of them is taken with AZT, Tenofovir (Viread)or Abacavir (Ziagen) plus a protease inhibitor, integrase inhibitor, non nucleoside or a CCR5 inhibitor.
