Response from Mr. Vergel
There is no replacement for HIV medications. None at all. You can help your immune function by eating a balance diet, taking a multivitamin and exercising, managing your stress, and getting support. But none of these interventions will control the replication of HIV. I remind people that there is no worse side effect that leaving HIV untreated. When people start a lower CD4 cell counts, they see more problems body changes, decline in cognitive function, increases in cancer rates, etc. We have more side effect friendly drugs in 2010. Talk to your doctor about them and do not fear side effects so much that you will jeopardize your health. Nelson | |||||||||
