OXANDRIN FOR WEIGHT GAIM
Jul 4, 2009

I'M HIV+ MY CD4 IS 211 AND VIRAL UNDETECTABLE FOR 3 YRS, I'VE BEEN LOSING WEIGHT FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS AND MY DOCTOR SUGGESTED USING OXANDRIN FOR WEIGHT GAIN WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST.

Response from Mr. Vergel

Oxandrin should be used at a dose of 20 mg a day for men with a background of testosterone gel. Make sure your doctor checks your liver enzymes since Oxandrin can increase them in a few people. It is a mild anabolic that has shown good results in HIV combined with testosterone and resistance exercise.

You may want to stay on it for 12 weeks and keep taking the testosterone gel after you stop it. If not, you may lose a lot of your gains and may become severely hypogonadal (low testosterone) since Oxandrin, like any anabolic, disrupts your body's production of testosterone.
