Want a child, but have HIV
Jan 27, 2009

I am a professional single male, living with HIV since July of 2005. My CD4 count is 564. I am at an age in which I will like a family. However, due to me being gay, single and having HIV, this becomes difficult. I don't mind being a single parent, but what will my options be if I would like my own child? I know there is adoption, but I really will like my own boy or girl to be a part of my life. I haven't heard of procedures that will help me out on this matter. Any suggestions?

Response from Mr. Vergel

There is sperm washing and it may or may not be legal where you live

Google: sperm washing HIV and your area
