Response from Mr. Vergel
This is a common complain that many of us have I have tried the following with some success: 1- Avoid beans, broccoli, milk products and bread 2- Drink lots of water 3- You may be holding fluid. Talk to your doctor if a diuretic is something you should consider (How is your blood pressure?) 4- Exercise decreases my bloat fast. Walk for 20 minutes after a meal if you can 5- Digestive enzymes (Ultrace is a prescription or you can buy some at the health food stores. Make sure you buy respected brands like Jarrow). I take enzymes with hydrochloric acid before meals and can definitely feel less bloating 6- Friendly gut bacteria in yogurt may help some 7- Get your liver and kidneys checked 8- Eat snacks instead of full meals The gut is a very active place where 75% of our CD4 cells are. Gut related research in HIV is in its infancy, I believe. Nelson | ||||||||||
