| Belly Fat Nov 20, 2008 Hi Nelson, I'm wondering, is there anything I can do short of my normal exercise routine to reduce my stomach fat. I'm on Norvir/Reyataz/Truvada, 56 y/o and workout 4 days a week, walk 2 miles four days a week, spinning class 3 days, and 350 sit-ups per week. I do have a six-pack, but the upper part of my stomach is the problem area. Now, I know this may sound vain, with all the serious medication issues that we confront. I eat a pretty balanced diet, no gunk food, and I am pretty buff, but I can not get this teenage boy belly, lol. why?? Do you think it's my meds? |

Response from Mr. Vergel
Wow, you are doing more than anyone I have heard from, including me. You must have a lot of energy. I hate you LOL Aging is a bitch. And aging with HIV is a bigger bitch. Upper trunk fat has definitely been shown to be a problem in a lot of long term survivors. But I do not see what else you can do that you are not already doing. Just the fact that you can show your abs is amazing at your age :) Keep up with your regimen! Nelson | ||||||||||
