![]() | Response from Mr. VergelYes, it is called Artefill. NO patient assistance for HIV. It would cost over 20,000 dollars to restore a face with grade 3 facial wasting. I wrote a letter to the company to ask them to do research in HIV facial lipoatrophy with no answer. The company's name is Artes Medical. Here is their web site: http://www.artesmedical.com/artefill.html It would be nice if people like you would send them letters to ask them to help those with HIV lipoatrophy. The product seems good and it is a permanent solution to facial wasting. But at the current cost, it is prohibitive for most patients. Many patients are traveling to Mexico and Rio de Janeiro to get cheaper PMMA products injected in their faces. It is unfortunate that in 2008 we do not have a permanent FDA approved solution to facial wasting. You can find out more in my web site facialwasting.org Nelson Vergel | ||||||||
