Response from Mr. Vergel
Not at all. A small study actually showed that niacin may improve visceral fat. Be aware that niacin can cause a very unpleasant flush of the skin that make some people feel like they are burning up. Taking an aspirin 30 min before seems to help some people avoid that problem. Niacin is one of the best supplements to increase good cholesterol (HDL). Luckily, Merck is developing a pill that contains niacin and an inhibitor of its flushing effect. Nelson | |||||||||
