 I am an expert on this problem since it is my main side effect! For my Norvir induced diarrhea, I take calcium carbonate at 1000 mg twice day plus acidophillus (one capsule twice a day on a empty stomach). Sometimes this does not work 100% so I have to add glutamine at 30 grams a day (in two doses with grape juice)or soulble fiber (Citrucell works pretty well wihout giving me gas). If this does not work, I ask my doctor to run a culture on a stool sample just to make sure I do not have a bug. If I have a bug, Flagyl or Cipro(a prescription)usually works pretty well along with Limotyl. I hope this helps! Nelson | |||||||||
