I'm writing from South Africa where HAART is presently unaffordable for the vast majority of AIDS patients. Do you know of any herb that can be used for treating oral thrush ( probably as a mouth rinse )? I'm looking for a cheap alternative to the standard antifungals (too expensive)that may be grown at home by patients'at home.Searching the internet usually throws up commercial preparations which are unhelpful.Regards, Mike Peek

Talk to your doctor about this. Flucanazole is the most common treatment used. Garlic seems to have anti-fungal properties but I have not seen any data on thrush and garlic. nelson
