flax seed oil
Oct 5, 2003
Can consumption of flax seed oil contribute to lipoatrophy? I notice whenever I go on a high flax seed oil diet, my stomach doesn't get any smaller, but my facial wasting gets worse. When I stop, so stops the facial wasting. But it doesn't get better. This has happened to me 3 times already. And I have no other adverse reactions to the flax seed oil, only this (I suspect).
Any comments would be appreciated.

I have never heard this and have never seen any studies pointing towards this direction (I have actually seen studies that indicate that Omega 3 fatty acids may improve fat metabolism in lipodystrophy). This is very interesting.
