| Using saunas or jacuzzi Jun 19, 2003 Our group will soon be on a four day retreat where they will have access to jacuzzi and saunas. Is there any health risks associated with medications, HIV and too much heat or use of these devices? |

Response from Mr. Vergel
Never stay in a sauna or jacuzzi for more than 15-20 minutes and/or if you feel light headed or your heart rate goes up too fast. Listen to your body. Look at your hands to make sure they are not wrinkling up. Drink plenty of fluids so that you do not dehydrate. The Japanese and Germans have used them for many years. I like the "cleasing" and relaxing properties of both! | |||||||||
