First I would like to thank you and all who help us not just cope with this disease but actually live life to its fullest. My question is do you know of any over the counter supplements that can work -maybe not with the same intensity but in the same way- as deca/test. I really don't want to go that route as I have always had really bad acne and although I have it under control now I fear it will cover me if I start on that stuff. I have seen transdermal rubs and stuff at the nutrition store and was just wondering... i know you probably can't endorse any product but could you tell me if its worth investigating on my own. I am not vain but suffered alot in the past and still have the scars from my acne-face/back/arms. I refuse to go through that again. Thanks for any help you can give.

Response from Mr. Vergel

No over the counter supplements will have the anabolic effects of deca durabolin or testosterone. But there are some that may help you increase lean body mass and even burn some fat if you exercise and eat a balanced diet with moderate animal fat and low sugar. L-carnitine helps the body use fat for energy (2000 mg/day). Creatine may help you get some strength and build some lean tissue. Glutamine is a great aminoacid for intestinal regeneration, immune cell nutrition and for building body cell mass (15 grams a day should do if you have no diarrhea.) And also take a multivitamin twice a day (make sure you get at least 200 mcg/day of selenium.) Talk to your doctor and dietitian before starting any supplement program.
