About liquid vitamins...
May 3, 2003

I just read your response to the person who was asking about liquid vitamins and I've had the same question myself, regarding the safety of the additives in them. If one WERE to switch to a liquid vitamin for a variety of reasons (difficulty swallowing, upset stomach from pills, etc.), do those additives pose any risk to interfere with someone's HIV meds? Do you (or the medical community) know of any contraindications yet?

Response from Mr. Vergel

I wish I could help you but I need to know what product you are talking about and what additives. You are right to say that some people may have difficulty in swallowing regular vitamins and thus, may require this kind of products. I just find most of them low in most of the ingredients and terribly overpriced. You may want to contact DAAIR (DAAIR.org) or the Houston Buyers Club (Houstonbuyersclub.org) for more information.
