Chest pain recently while jogging
Oct 11, 2003

I am 49 years old (male) and a regular jogger, 5/6 times per week. My height/weight OK. 2 weeks ago I began my regular jog, 10.5 kms/hr,but after 5 or 6 minutes began having a pain in the upper part of my chest area, prtactically right accross my whole chest area. I stopped jogging after 10 minutes. Same problem the next day. 5 days later I tried again and managed 15 minutes before pain again in same area. Could this be just a chest infection or perhaps a heart complaint. I have never had any heart problems before. I never usually have health problems. Any ideas or advise? Should I continue jogging and try to work off the problem. Thanks

Response from Mr. Vergel

You need to see your doctor and stop jogging for the meanwhile! Any pain during exercise is your body telling you something is wrong. Do not make any assumptions and go see your doctor!
