Hi Nelson,

Im looking to gain weight and dramatically increase my caloric intake. Can you name examples of some snacks or foods that i can do this with without clogging my arteries?

Excellent question!

I like nuts (almonds, pecans, pistachios, etc), hard boiled eggs (I keep them in the fridge), low fat cheese and crackers, chicken tenders (not the fast food kind!), tuna salad, garbanzo soup, protein shakes, apples/bananas with peanut or almond butter (the fresh kind from a health food store), meat balls, and any good left overs I can get! The key is too have something you can eat right away in your fridge, office or car. And do not wait until you are hungry. Eating 4-6 smaller meals or snacks will definitely make it easier for you to gain weight and digest your food better than the 2-3 large meals we are used to.

Nelson
