false pos syphillis then pos Feb 17, 2013 Hi. I had a baby June 9. Throughout my pregnancy was tested for hiv n other stds. All negative. I did have that bacteria you have to be put on penicillin for during childbirth, but that was it. So now 8 months later I went for a pap n std screening because my partner found out in June he was hiv+ . My hiv test came negative but syphilis came up. First Dr said false positive but then they said they send out for a second test. Come to find syphillis was positive? I had been treated for sypgillis march of 2010. So now my Dr wants me to go to a disease specialist. Why ? I'm confused and worries plus googling everything and I'm scared of a false negative for hiv. Please help with any info . Please |
