Pregnant and worried Dec 4, 2011 Please help me. I'm 7 months pregnant. Is my antibody test conclusive after 17 weeks and 24 weeks, even if I have ongoing (confirmed thrush) sore throat and headaches? Could it be possible that I have not yet seroconverted? Do symptoms of acute HIV syndrome last seven months or could I have full blown AIDS and the test is not picking up antibodies? Thank you. |

 Thanks for writing. A negative test after 24 weeks is conclusive that you do not have the HIV virus. Symptoms of acute HIV syndrome seldom last more than four weeks. Speak with your physician about other possible causes for your thrush and headaches. -David | ||||||||
