| Possible discrimination Jan 11, 2009 After revealing my HIV status and making a dental appointment I was told no problem - come on in, two days later I receive a call telling me to go elsewhere for my teeth cleaning? I reported incident to my insurance company but I don't feel like that is enough as this is not the first time that I have been turned away! It doesn't seem right, please advise |

Response from Dr. Horwath
If your dentist canceled the appointment because of your HIV status, then you should report it to the state licensing board. Although there may be no law against this in your state, it is definitely a breach of ethical guidelines. I agree with you; it's not right. | ||||||||||
