immunsuppressant drug
Jan 11, 2009

I was with a women 10 weeks back in NYC,the evening consisted of unprotected oral sex for both of us and mutual masterbation.I have been on alefacept for 5-6 years for psoriasis and in the middle of treatment now.I was tested for HIV using rapid tests at 9.5 weeks negative,I know I should wait til 12 weeks but would it be conclusive on this medication

Response from Dr. Horwath

The HIV antibody screening test is extremely sensitive. You can be confident in the results. Your medication should not affect the result.

However, in the future you should not engage in unprotected sex.
