graduated university and unemployed..black dog!!
Sep 28, 2008

I have graduated recently with my Bachelor of Arts (political sceince/History) from UNSW(in sydney australia). I have been unemployed for a few months now and am super upset. On top of that ive been positive for 1 year. I jog most morings to try and lift my mood but for the rest of the day i find myself with a "hopeless attitude". I have seen a social worker , yet i find them to be a waste of time as im still upset with my life. what do you suggest ??

Cheers Drew xxoo

Response from Dr. Horwath

Graduating with a degree and being unemployed is a difficult situation. Even though you are still upset, this does not mean that the social worker is a waste of time. Talking may help you to develop new job ideas or find other ways to better adapt to your circumstances. Your situation is not hopeless, and I'm sure you'll feel better when you find some job prospects.
