benzodiazapines
Jul 13, 2008

I was on benzodiazapines for 14 years and recently went on suboxone program. I was urine tested and came up for benzos it had been over 2 weeks since i"ve taken any benzos i'm on zoloft and was told that could come back as benzos?how long does it take for benzos to be completely out of your system?thank-you

Response from Dr. Horwath

After long-term use, drugs like benzodiazepines are stored in your body fat. For this reason, a sensitive drug test can still detect traces of bezodiazepines several weeks after your last use. This has nothing to do with taking Zoloft, which is a completely different drug.
