| persistant anxiety! Dec 1, 2007 I am anxious very often! I get relief from moving my leg up and down very fast (sort of like tapping my foot) I am trying to quit smoking but am so terriably anxious all the time! I have been on Susteva, Ziagen, reyataz for several years. My cdr is 1200. vl undetectable. My life is going great! I work and recently married my lover. How can i reduce this anxiety?? There are moments in the day where I am fine...even serene...but the rest of the time my foot is tapping away! I also sweat profusely at night, every night and dream about being chased or trying to get somewhere...always fearful! Please help me figure out a way to calm my self long enough to quit smoking!! |

Response from Dr. Horwath
You should seek help from a mental health professional for your constant anxiety. There are excellent treatments available, both psychotherapy and medications, that can help. There are also good treatments that can help you stop smoking. | ||||||||||
