Is there a support group for alcoholics with hiv/aids? Nov 15, 2007 my son is 32 and has recently went full blown. he is an alcoholic and has been for years. He is willing to talk to someone but it has to someone who is familiar with alcoholism with hiv/aids patients. Can you advise us? |

 Alcohol and substance abuse are often found together with HIV infection. If your son has access to an HIV clinic, they should know of alcohol treatment programs that are open and accepting of people with HIV infection. | |||||||||
