| I am scared of testing Jun 17, 2007 How do I make myself get tested? If I get a positive result what's the difference? i'll just feel dirtier and like on a death sentence. i'm already taking care of myself as if I was HIV positive, i only masturbate with partners, if i have sex drive, i'm on good excercise, i eat better, stopped smoking. But my main concern is that i would HATE to actually know that I'm Positive. I know this is what i should do, but how do i actually do it without freaking out!? |

Response from Dr. Horwath
You're better off knowing than not knowing. Knowing your status gives you important information. If you are positive you can be followed by a doctor and get treatment at the appropriate time. Treatment is most effective when started at the right time, and that can happen only with knowledge of your HIV status. | |||||||||
