mental health
Jan 31, 2007

I've been livig with hiv for 5 years now. I also had a partial hystorectomy 5 yrs ago. I don't have the urge for sex, i have mood swings, i'm finding myself forgetting things also i find myself wondering how long i'm going to survive with this. can you please give me some answers.

Response from Dr. Horwath

The mood swings and loss of interest in sex are very likely signs of depression. You should consult your doctor and get a referral for treatment of your depression. This will help improve your mood, return your interest in pleasurable activities, like sex, and may help improve your concentration and memory too.
