Response from Dr. Horwath
With proper treatment, your brother can hopefully lead a long and productive life. Unfortunately, he is quite ill now, but the PCP and thrush are very responsive to treatment. With treatment, his immune system will improve and he will again be able to fight off infections, such as those he has now. If he responds to treatment, his T cell count returns to a normal level and he takes his medications regularly, you have every reason to hope that he will do well. | ||||||||||
