The most important measure is to have regular medical follow-up appointments. This will allow your doctor to monitor your general health and your immune system. If there is evidence of failing immunity (based on T cell count, viral load, or symptoms), then you have the opportunity to begin treatment at an early stage before becoming ill or at risk for opportunistic infections. | |||
