Ending it all
Dec 19, 2006

Why is it not OK to finally throw in the towel? I am in constant pain from the pn in my feet, suffer from fatigue, endless medicine and lowsy quality of life. No one wants to live this way. I'm sorry, but all of you who constantly tell us to get help and hang in there have no idea the misery of this disease. I'm ready to go...why is this not OK?

Response from Dr. Horwath

I believe there is always reason to maintain hope for improvement. Nobody wants to impose this belief on you, but I do offer it up as an alternative to misery and hopelessness.

Peerhaps there are some treatment options that you have not tried. Perhaps something can relieve your pain. In any case, whether to opt for hope or despair is certainly your choice, and not to be forced upon you.
