Jul 22, 2006

what do you recommend for a person diagnosed w/HIV : eating habits, vitamins;should a psicologist be of help. Our interes is to keep our love one healthy and that the CD4 +the viral charge keeps stationary to avoid HIV medicines. Right now he is fine, but the doctor that checks him every 3 monthas has not recommended a specific routine of health maintenance. Need your advice, thanks!!

Response from Dr. Horwath

Health maintenance is similar for those with and without HIV. The basics are good nutrition, adequate rest, an appropriate amount of exercise, maintaining healthy relationships and activity, and regular medical follow-up visits.
