I suffered from bad anxiety, but two years ago i was prescibed buspar and was fine until now. It started with a panic attack and turned into a deep depression along with panic attacks. Now i am taking buspar/xanax/wellbutrin. How long until the wellbutrin xl starts to work and will i feel myself again? thanks

Antidepressants (including Wellbutrin) usually take several weeks to start working, and may take up to 6 weeks. It does require some patience, but it also requires being on the proper dose. Make sure that you consult with a good psychiatrist about your doses of medications. Wellbutrin XL may require 300-450 mg/day for 6 weeks in order to get a full response. If you are still not feeling better, then consult a psychiatrist with experience in the pharmacologic treatment of depression and panic attacks.
