Hi, I've been HIV positive for 21 years and until recently when I felt really bad I would smoke a (pot)joint and I found that helped my psychological well being as well as improved my appetite. Unfortunately, I can no longer continue smoking because I cough too much and my lungs can't take it anymore. Since I've stopped I've fallen into a deep state of hopeless depression. I am very sick and feel like I have nothing to look forward to. The pot provided a little comfort. I was wondering if you could suggest an alternative medication or an alternative way to get the thc in my body. Thanks,

The most effective treatment for depression is an antidepressant. There are a number of extremely effective and safe antidepressants available. With treatment, you will feel better and more hopefull.
