unhappy
Mar 21, 2002

Michael, My illness is taking its toll on every aspect of my life.My relationship is suffering and I think beynod repair. But I can't kick him out he also has HIV.We don't earn enough money to make it on our own,I'd own a one bedroom and just have to wait till i can get my money from overseas, then sell and split the money from the condo.I'm mucher sicker I have Lymphoma and get angery at me and say's I'm an embarrassment because I sometimes talk about been ill to others. The truth I wish my life be ended in an accident or something. Not sucide as he wouldn't get insurance extra extra.I hate my life and no amount of talking will change that.If God where truly loving and caring he let something happen to me,so my death certificate wont say AIDS.

Response from Mr. Shernoff

It certainly sounds like you are depressed. I strongly recommend that both of you see a mental health professional who is an expert in dealing with people with HIV. It sounds like you could use antidepressant medication as well as talk therapy for yourself and as a couple to help you both deal with all of the very serious stresses that you are facing.

Please in order to improve both of your quality of life please follow up on this suggestion today. If you do not things will only continue to feel completely out of control and get worse if you both do not get professional help.

Michael Shernoff, MSW
