Living with HIV & Stressed
Jan 12, 2005

Dear Dr. Horwath:

I am inquiring about any and all information you can give me regarding obtaining any and all books and literature concerning the Aids crisis. Having been diagnosed 2 years ago, I have been going around in circles trying to get as much info as I can about everything and everything pertaining to aids. Escpecially how to cope with the mental stress and turmoil it causes me. I am terrified of every aspect of this disease. I am an indigent person, and I thought perhaps you knew of a program that could possibly donate or loan me books about these subjects. I am going nowhere trying to obtain this information on my own. Any help you can give me regarding this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, Doctor.

This site has been a God-send.

Probably your best bet is to get access to a library that has internet access to various sources.

Excellent on-line information sources are:

AIDSLINE (references to books, hournals, newletters, etc.) AIDSinfo (references) aidsmap (references) HIV Insite (web page of UCSF)

There are also electronic bulletin board services available. Your local library (especially academic libraries) may subscribe to some of them.

Good libraries are likely to have a collection of some off-line materials as well.
