HIV AND CD4
Jun 13, 2007

I wanted to ask, my CD4 is 568 at the moment is that good or its just enough to make me live another 5-6 years. i am not on any meds. the other problem is im not gaining any weight neither im i losing it. i try to eat as much as i can but i dont gain anything. do you have any suggestions?

thank you

Response from Dr. Horwath

Your CD4 count is fine. When the CD4 count falls below 250, the risk of opportunistic infections starts to rise, but with your CD4 count, you are not in danger. As far as your weight is concerned, it is stable and not a cause for concern now. Maintain a nutritious diet and that will help to maintain your health.
