my boyfriend ( been to gether 3 years) got really ill and was dignosed with active TB,he refused to have an HIV test done, (i got really scared and went and got the test done for myself which was 14 months ago. my viral loads are undetectable and cd4 count is 950 and in very good health.) he was on medication for 6 months. shortly after this he got shingles. 8 months later he got cold sores in his eye. in all the time of me knowing he kept living in denile thinking if im ok he was. he would never discuss the issuse with me as to regards where it came from or his health. after retracting the coldsores i eventually mange to get him to go the hospital we were both shocked to dicover his cd4 was270 and viral loads 125000, and that he has had and biult up amunity to heppertites a& b also has a low viral of heppertites c.The have started him on meds. becaurse he is in so much denile even now, (i know that this is his way of copeing)the doctor anknowleges this she keep on reasuring him hes going to be fine, i tell him the same as long as he takes the med s properly. she does not go into to much detail as not to scare him resulting in him not going back for check ups he does not ask questions ,in which i would but dont for the same reasons not to upset him. Plus im not sure legally if she could answer, can you? how long has he had it? has he got aids, was his life expectacey is it possible that he can live for meny more years, inot a person who can put ther head in the sand i like to face things then deal with them rather than get a shock and fall apart.
