May 25, 2008

i had sex with a person that i think has aids like2 years ago so i got tested 2 years ago then i got tested 6 months ago n the i got yested yesterday all test came out negative can i be infected?

Response from Dr. Horwath

You have now had 3 tests over a 2 year period, all of which were negative. There is no way that you were infected by this partner.

However, the real problem here is that you are having unprotected sex. The lesson to learn is "DON'T HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX." If you don't protect yourself while having sex, then you will continue to be anxious ad worried that you might be infected, no matter how many times you get tested. The HIV test is not a way to solve you're problem. Protecting yourself is the only way to prevent HIV infection. If you protect yourself, then you have a chance of having some peace of mind.
