timing of medication
Sep 2, 2017

Hi Doctor, I am on triumeq currently. i understand that it is once a day pill. does it mean i can safely take it at any time of the day and i can don't stick to a specific time everyday?

Response from Dr. Young

Hello and yes.

You don't need to stick to exactly the same minute or hour every day.

Once a day pills are to be taken once daily. Contrary to a once-popular belief, you don't need a stopwatch (or wrist watch, for that matter) to correctly take the medication. It's generally good to aim for the same time of day (ie., morning, afternoon or evening), just to increase the likelihood of adherence.

Be well, BY

Is it safe to switch from Nevirapin to Eflavirenz
