Is it advisable to use aloe vera juice from gnld whilst on tribuss
Response from Dr. Young
Hello and thanks for posting.
The first question is why you want to use aloe juice. According to the US National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, aloe may have benefits when used topically for burns and abrasions, but "there is not enough scientific evidence to support aloe vera for any of its other uses."
There probably aren't any significant drug-drug interactions between aloe juice and your HIV medications, but this has not been formally studied.
At a minimum, do let your care providers know about this or any other supplements that you might be taking, so that you can be monitored appropriately.
